Golf Classic
Two well-known former Redskins, Sonny Jurgenson and Larry Brown, will play in the third annual Loudoun Memorial Hospital Golf Classic scheduled for Friday, July 30. The golf and dinner event will be held at the Loudoun Golf and Country Cub in Purcellville.
Sonny Jurgenson thrilled area football fans in the late sixties and seventies with his ‘‘pure passing" style and his last-minute heroics. He is presently a sportscaster for a Washington television station.
Larry Brown, former Redskin All-Pro, is considered by most to be the greatest running back ever to play for Washington. He was selected as the most valuable player in the National Football League and was voted NFL player of the year.
