Miller said that it "should he a fine basis rather than removal" because it "wouldn't work it'we need a pound." Miller said that even it there was a leash law it wouldn't keep the dogs out of tow n.
The idea of getting dog w arden Jack Bruce to enforce the law if it is enacted was suggested. The Council agreed that the town should have the same protection from dogs as the rest of the county. Miller said that there was “no reason that we (the town) shouldn’t use the county Dog Warden, too." The Council agreed to bring the proposed leash up for further scrutiny before a decision is made.
