Archery Club To Meet

The Apple, Valley Archery Club will meet Wednesday, July 28. at the range site near Sperryville. Members and interested persons are asked to meet at the Sperryville ballfield parking lot at 7:30 to go to the range site. Those attending should bring archery equipment for shooting. Flint Hill Carnival Coming

The Flint Hill Firemen's Carnival is scheduled for August 4-7 at the carnival grounds in Flint Hill. The parade will start at 6:30 on Thursday.

Car Wash Saturday

Rappahannock County High School's varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders will continue their series of fund raising projects with a car wash this Saturday. July 24. from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the high school. Money raised through the car wash will go towards purchase of new cheerleading uniforms.

Warren County Fair

The Warren County Agricultural and Industrial Fair will celebrate its 25th anniversary with exhibits, entertainment. competition and rides scheduled for the w eek of August 9-14.

Performers include Miss Harper Valley P.T.A. herself. Jeannie C. Riley, the Front Royal Little Theatre. Whiskey Creek. Steve Warriner. Carol Steele, gospel music from the Angelic Voices and the Stewards, Ronnie McDowell and Terry Hoffman Weakley w ith the Rockettes.

An enclosed arts and crafts area has been added this year along with a video arcade. Seven food booths will provide a festival of food that ranges from bar-b-qued chicken to pirra. Mexican cuisine and Polish and Italian sausages. Fair passes at S9 for the week. $3 for August 9. 12 and 14 and $2 for August 10. II and 13 are available from Warren Quality Shop. Merle Norman's, Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Extension Office in Front Royal.
