half an hour earlier. Toward the end, a vigorous bat soared past us. We left by an entrance made into the cave from the exterior of the mountain and where we could grasp that we had climbed up within the mountain many feet. We drove to the top where grass covers a meadow-like stretch for miles among the mountain peaks, and picnicked in the out of doors near sunset.
This day included other interesting events - lunch in an exotic restaurant, and a visit in the new home of Mrs. Yoshinkane’s brother’s house in a town an hour's drive from Hikari, but the train will soon be pulling into Shinosaka station, and although I've made this trip before, I don’t want to miss all the varied scenery as the Bullet Train flashes along.
