Snowy egrets fly and land near at hand, feeding in the shallows when the tide is out. On a hill beside the shrine is a large old temple built of great skinned logs and floored with polished planks more than a foot wide and more than an inch thick. It was erected years ago by Hideyoshi (flourished as ruler 158015%) and left unfinished.
