We ate bean curd with dried fish grated on it, a meso soup, rice and a number of pickles, cold tea and the mussels and their broth. This was my last meal in Yamaguchi, one of many delicious ones I have had everywhere on this visit since I arrived June 16.
Kyoko (who spent three weeks w ith us at the farm five years ago) says that the beach is popular, and I would guess that, yet it is unspoiled, and from its natural appearance, no one would suppose it had been discovered by anyone beyond Hikari village. No cottages, apartments, drink or other stands - just pine trees growing between the street and the beach.
Many places I have visited here are touristy, but many at the seaside especially are not.
