Beekeeping
At Farm Show
This year exhibits and demonstrations on beekeeping and honeybee products will be added features of the CulpeperMadison-Rappahannock
Farm Show which opens Friday, July 23, at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises (Rt. 29 South of Culpeper).
The exhibits will be on display through Sunday, July 25.
A honey judging will take place on Thursday afternoon, July 22.
On Saturday, in a large cage outside the exhibit building, a beekeeper will conduct live demonstrations of handling a honeybee colony. These demonstrations will take place at 11 a.m.. and 1, 3, 5, and 7 p.m.
At the conclusion of the Farm Show, many members of the Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will donate their honey products which have been on display, to the Area Agency for the Aging to be utilized in the Agency's food program.
