The tastiest and best quality berries are firm, plump and full-colored for their variety.

Red and black raspberries have a core which separates from the fruit, distinguishing them from other berries.

Large blueberries have more flavor than smaller ones.

The cultivated blueberry of today is a far cry from the huckleberry of yesteryear.
