This view of the nation and how it should improve economic ties with the world represents but one side of the man whose campaign slogan is a “new, working leadership" for America.

Asked of his chances of defeating the 66-year-old Robinson and having an opportunity to test his new leadership. Mr. Dorrier terms them “excellent.”

“There’s a lot of dissatisfaction among voters in the 7th district," he says, criticizing the incumbent for his voting record, his history of sponsoring few bills and his lack of leadership.

Speaking of himself, Mr. Dorrier says he has lived most of his life in the rural climate and, as a former Albemarle County supervisor, says he knows of the many problems and concerns of 7th district constituents. That background, combined with his experience in law and prosecution, gives him a comprehensive knowledge he says few in Congress have and he feels would be very beneficial to a U.S. representative.
