I’honr 987 8136 Robert Myers from Middletown. Ohio spent a recent weekend with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Myers. Donald Chandler from Spectra attended the National Conference for Landscape Architects at VPI. Blacksburg over the weekend. The conference, sponsored by the Council of Educators in Landscape Architects focused on rural landscape and small town development.
The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church met at the home of Mrs. L B. Burford with ten members present on Monday, October 18. Mrs. Barbara Gentry led the study on the book of Hebrews.
Mrs. Paul Miller with Mrs. E M. Jones and Mrs. George Davis of Washington attended the World's Fair at Knoxville, Tenn. from Thursday until Sunday. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Sheffield there.
Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker were host to the Board of Directors meeting of the Arlington Northern Virginia Postal Employees S.C.U. at their home on Sunday with approximately twenty-six present.
