Dorrier has come out strongly for an indefinite moratorium on uranium mining in Virginia until reliable safeguards for mining, processing and transportation can be developed.
The Democratic candidate has taken stands which we endorse on other major issues: against tuitibn tax credits, aginst school prayed, for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, for extension of unemployment benefits, against a cap on food stamps and for stringent enforcement of fair housing regulations.
