Achievement Night
The Amissville Homemakers Club will host Achievement Night for all Rappahannock County Homemaker’s Clubs on Monday, November 1, at the Amissville Baptist Church starting at 7:30 p.m. All members are uged to attend.
Dance Contest
The Shenandoah College mservatory of Music Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Gennadi and Susan Vostrikov, will present a concert on Saturday, November 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Auditorium. The concert will feature the Dance Ensemble, Gennadi and Susan Vostrikov, and special guest artist Kjell Grotland. The pieces performed are all original works choreographed by Gennadi Vostrikov and include Kreisler’s Caprice Viennese, Snow Scene from the Nutcracker Suite, and Le Corsair Pas De Deux and Serenade for Strings and Orchestra by Tchaikovsky.
Kjell Grotland, a native of Norway whose professional career as a solo male dancer and partner has taken him to various cities throughout the U.S., has performed the leads in such ballets as The Nutcracker, Raymonda, Swan Lake, and Pquvita. He is currently on leave from the Central Pennsylvania Ballet.
Tickets are on sale at the Shenandoah Box Office (703-667-3898) and are $3.50 for adults, and $2.00 for students under 12.
