One dark, windy, rainy, and thundering Halloween night my grandfather was returning home from his friends’ house who lived about six miles from him in the countryside. He and his friends had been talking about ghouls, ghosts, and witches.

My grandfather had to walk through about five miles of thick, dark and horrifying woods. This night the woods seemed to be especially spooky. He could see eyes staring at him from all sides. He heard rustling and creaking noises. He also had to go through an old, rundown, graveyard.

As he approached the graveyard he could see the large, white tombstones looming at him. He heard a cat cry in the background and saw bats circling over (he graveyard. As he walked along he kept thinking about ghosts and goblins. The moon began to peer ever so faintly from behind the dark and misty clouds. He began to see weird shadows and heard strange, eerie noises.
