Election Night Watch
Republicans and their friends will gather at the Quality Inn, upstairs banquet room, in Front Royal on Tuesday, November 2, from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. to listen to the election returns. The public is invited. Set-ups will be furnished and TV will be available.
Spectra Open House
Spectra, the new alternative school now being organized on a Flint Hill farm by architect Donald Chandler, will host its second open house pn Saturday, November 6.
Plans call for the school to provide an opportunity for students from all levels — high school through practicing architects and retirees — to learn, relearn, rethink and do architecture through weekend, dgytime or evening workshops, summer courses and independent study periods.
Spectra invites all potential participants, both students and instructors, to the brainstorming session at the November 6 open house, scheduled for 2-5 p.m. For further information, call 356-1991 or 759-2000 in McLean or 675-3288 in Flint Hill. Spectra is located on Route 522 just north of Flint Hill.

Rappahannock Retired Teachers will meet on Friday, October 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Quality Court in Front Royal. James Mederios, area representative from Social Security Office in Winchester will be guest speaker.
