Citizens Party candidate David Toscano found only slight' support in Amissville, Chester Gap-Huntly and Woodville-Sperryville and none at all in Washington, for a- total of six percent county wide.
The combined polls of the Rappahannock News, Clarke Courier and Fauquier Democrat give Robinson a comfortable lead, 53 percent to 27 percent, over Dorrier with Toscano far behind at one percent. Area wide, 19 percent of those surveyed remain undecided a week before the November 2 elections.
Also on the ballot will be a “no contest" delegate's race. Raymond R. “Andy" Guest is running unopposed for the 31st District slot in Virginia’s House of Delegates, representing Rappahannock, Warren and Clarke counties; Leeds, Marshall, Waterloo and Remington precincts in Fauquier County and Rixeyville, Eldorado and Jefferson precincts in Culpeper County.
The ballot will also carry three proposed amendmendments to the Virginia Constitution (see separate story).
