The Amissville Ruritans celebrated father-son and father-daughter night at their monthly meeting, Wednesday. October 20, at the Amissville Methodist Church.
During the course of the evening, youngsters had an opportunity to see what their Dads do at Ruritan meetings.
Guest speaker Roy Jamison, retired chief of police from Culpeper, presented his works of art in ceramics. He told the audience that the hobby he started in 1974 developed into a business by 1980. He described the different techniques—molding, glazing, painting, antiqueing, coating. firing and glassing—that he uses in producing the ceramic pieces offered for sale through a Culp. ,>er outlet.
