At its monthly meeting November 9, the Rappahannock School board agreed to high school principal Robert Chappell’s request that they accept the $700 that the RCHS boosters had raised for the science department from their successful Friendship Follies. Chairman Beverly Massie directed that the boosters also be written a letter of thanks.
Massie read a letter from Robert L Judd restating his interest in purchasing the old Scrabble school building. His proposal, based on a similar transaction he had made in California, was to purchase the materials for the sum of one dollar in return for carrying them off. Judd said that he would be moving to Virginia in the early spring and was looking for an appropriate building site.
