19 Year* Service

Mary S. Priest, county Homemaker of the Year, has been a charter member of the Amissville club for 19 years. She served as secretary in 1963, vice-president in 1970 and president in 1971 and 1972. She was Federation Work Chairman in 1976; treasurer of District 8 from 1976 to 1979; county vicepresident from 1971 to 1973 and county president in 1974 and 1975. She took over as Amissville’s president again from 1978 through 1981. In additir-'i. she has been club historian for her entire 19 year membership.

An active member of the Amissville club, Mary’s fellow homemakers have found her always willing to serve on committees and share ideas.

She’s given her time and energies to other organizations as well. Mary has been a member of the Amissville Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary for 25 years and helped organize the Department’s 25th anniversary banquet. She has belonged to the United Daughters of the Confederacy for the past two years. A member of the
