Because of the rural nature of Rappahannock County, there is more interest focused on the school. This is clearly demonstrated by the involvement and cooperation of many of our parents. Nothing will help us improve our schools more than the support and help of all our patrons. Improved discipline means more teaching time; more teaching leads to more learning. The final result is better prepared students when they compete in the job market or for college admission. We are proud of our school, our students, our staff, and our community. We urge every parent and interested citizen to join us, not only during American Education Week, but throughout the entire year in working for continued improvement and success.

Dear citizens of Rappahannock.
We in this area have much to be thankful for as we approach the thanksgiving season: exquisite scenery, clean air. a measure of quiet, no stoplights, heavy tourist traffic on a few autumn weekends, and good people with whom to enjoy the environment.
My chief concern, of course, is people - especially those entrusted to us at R.C.H.S. for the purpose of learning. I am indeed thankful for our youthful charges: for their enthusiasm, their developing skills and talents, their intelligence, their inquisitive minds, and for their overall fine behavior.
I am thankful for a faculty and staff of dedicated, professionally skillful, caring adults. Working in tandem with our faculty is a fine staff of a secretary, custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, a maintenance man and central office personnel. Each of the above serves as a team member in enhancing the education of our youngsters.
My thankfulness extends to members of the community: to dedicated school board members, to the interested and supportive parents; to the citizensworkers- farmers- taxpayers who envision the best education possible for our county’s adults of tomorrow.
For all of the above. 1 am indeed thankful.
