The Rappahannock County Grand Jury deliberating November 8 returned true bills on each of the six cases certified to it, including a sealed “Jane Doe” indictment.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Douglas Baumgardner said that the Jane Doe charge, which was not specified, was the first step in a potentially significant investigation of drug-related activity in Rappahannock County. The investigation was conducted by a special unit of state police based in Culpeper in conjunction with local law enforcement authorities.
