Work is progressing on schedule toward the tentative December 22 opening of Interstate 66 inside the Capital Beltway (1-495), according to Danald E. Keith, Northern Virginia division administrator for the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
Unless adverse weather delays construction, they say the road—which has been named the Custis Memorial Parkway—should be ready to open as scheduled.
