As of Wednesday morning, no charges had been filed or arrests made in connection with the shooting death.
A preliminary investigation at the scene was conducted by Sheriff W. A. Buntin. Deputy John Henry Woodward and Trooper R. A. Baines who all arrived just minutes after the shooting occured.
Commonwealth's attorney Douglas Baumgardner is handling all inquiries into the case. Law enforcement personnel have been instructed not to comment on the incident until the investigation is completed.
