Ricky Shaw was 27th (19:03) among the 75 runners who competed in Wednesday’s regionals, David Dodson 45th (19:39) and Elwood Dodson 56th (20:17).

Buffalo Gap took the crown by placing five runners in the top 20. Stonewall Jackson, Strasburg and Rappahannock teams each had four.

Coach Ann Keithley noted that Craig Kenyon's performance showed he had recovered from the mental and physical shake-up of a fall at the start of the district meet. “Larry Sisk also ran exceptionally well. He’s back up to running like he was last year.”
