Don’t you realize that young boys and girls in this county also read your newspaper? They have read your detailed account of what happened at the Middleburg pad on the night of August 20. Then they have read how you have tried to make a “vulnerable” and innocent victim out of the pad’s star actress.
Are you trying to undo even the little bit of moral training which our parents, our schools, and our churches are able to achieve in our permissivist society and in spite of the restrictions imposed by judges from the bench?
In all of your flood of print on the case, where have you even remotely suggested that Mrs. Gregory’s “fast lane" conduct was to be blamed in any way? That the peace and tranquility of three counties in this Commonwealth have been seriously disturbed by the spin-off of her conduct doesn’t even appear to have occurred to you.
Your article and your editorial tell us more that we care to know about people such as Irene Wodell. Not satisfied with having sent that bucket of garbage into Westmoreland and Rappahannock to consume our public funds and the time of citizens and officials, Loudoun sends us Wodell to beat the drums around here for her pet program while in the midst of demonstrating that she is making a farce of it!
It seems that they would like to leave us with some permanently damaging effects of the Gregory case as though it were another case of Herpes II!
