William Stephenson

Graveside services for William David Stephenson of Marshall were held Saturday at the Marshall Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph French.
Mr. Stephenson, 92, died Wednesday, November 3, 1982, at the Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
Born in Rappahannock County, July 23, 1890, he was the son of the late Montez and Mollie Board Stephenson. His wife, Julia Russell Stephenson predeceased him.
Mr. Stephenson was a retired farmer and a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lola S. Leonard of Warrenton; two sons, William Stephenson of Birmingham, Ala. and Jack Palmer Stephenson of Front Royal; eight grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
Mamie Leake

Mrs. Mamie B. Leake. 75, of Castleton died on Friday, November 5, 1982. at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Leake was born on November 10, 1906, in Woodville, the daughter of the late A. Montgomery and Mary Ruth McFarland Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband James Preston Leake. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Mrs. Eleanor Wharton of Castleton, James Leake of Sperrwille and M. FL Browning of Culpeper; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three sisters. Mrs. Weldon Cline of Culpeper, Mrs. George Graves of Madison and Mrs. Millard Brown of Lignum.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper by the Rev. William Lancaster.
