Cited by school board study groups, a visiting committee, and various administrators have been these problems: a cramped kitchen and cafeteria area, a need for an expanded library, a need for at least five more regular classrooms, two science labs, and guidance offices with privacy and display areas. Also identified was a need for a private clinic area, an additional boys’ rest room and a great deal more storage space.

More recent problems have been the lack of a conference room, need for a separate computer room and publications room, need for a math lab and an adequate teacher workroom-lounge.

Also noted, said Estabrook, are the problems inherent in a shared gymnasium and auditorium where after-school dramatic and athletic activities compete with each other for time. (Continued on Page 2)
