SPECTRA School of Design in Flint Hill completed its first course this past week. Clint Bowman, and Wayne Fisher, two of the eight students attending the two-weekend sessions, were from the Flint Hill area.
While taking advantage of the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their environment through group activities, the SPECTRA students became involved in architecture and building from initial concept through construction.
Donald Chandler, AIA, Flint Hill architect and director of the SPECTRA School, and Nol Putnam, educator and Flint Hill blacksmith, along with visiting instructors Will Hoare, Flint Hill landscape architect and Ken Ritvo, Washington, Va., contractor guided the students in their introduction to architecture.
Mr. Chandler feels that the comments of the students best reflect the spirit of the course:

Tickets are now on advance sale for the Rappahannock performance of EQUUS. This is the production for which Source Theatre of Washington, D. C. recently received a threeand-a-half star rating from drama critic Arch Campbell of channel 4.
Source Theatre is bringing EQUUS to the Gay Street Theater in Washington at 8 p.m., Friday, February 25. Tickets at the advance purchase price of $4.75 are available at Nature’s Foods and Cafe.
