The educational program begins at 9 a.m. the next morning and will feature several speakers who address marketing of feeder and seedstock cattle.
Retired Virginia Tech animal scientist, George Litton, will discuss "75 Years of Progress in the Livestock Industry.”
Speakers from customerstates for Virginia feeder cattle will discuss marketability of their Virginia feeder cattle feedlots. The speakers will include Bob Van Stavern, Ohio State University Extension meat specialist; Paul Espy, cattle feeder, Tyrone, Pa.; and John Bricker, manager of the Producer’s Livestock Marketing Association of Ohio.
Roy A. Meek, Draper livestock producer, livestock market operator and leader in several cattle organizations, will close the meeting by speaking on the subject “Setting Some Priorities for Cattle Producers in Virginia.”
