Sylvia Krcitlcr. Rappahannock Welfare Department director, said that the fuel assistance program, closed down in December because of rapidly dwindling funds, is back in operation.
Kreitler said that Congress added fund to the program during its closing session, enabling the program to continue until March .11.
Households which filed for the one-time emergency assistance since December 10 will have their status reviewed automatically and, if found eligible, w ill now receive additional help.
Other households not eligible lor the emergency one-time relief may apply for assistance under the same income and resource requirements as before.
