All of the meetings are being sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service and the Virginia Forage and Grassland Council (VFGC).
Starting at 9:30 a.m., the Valley-Blue Ridge conference will feature a panel discussion on the techniques and experiences the participants have had with notill alfalfa. Ralph and Bill Crowe qf Rockingham County will describe their dairy operation, which won them the VFGC Outstanding Forage Producers Award for the area.
The afternoon program will look at insect, weed and disease problems in forage crops as well as variations in forage quality and how to use them in feed rations. The
