Money Saving Ploy
Dennis complimented Schwarburg’s answer to EPA, noting that the SWCB's regional director had done a good job in pointing out “why the facilities plan is the way it is.” He maintained that the questions posed by Kerns are just an attempt by EPA “to save some money.”
The visit to Sperryville is part of the standard federal review process, Dennis assured his fellow WSA members. “I don’t think it’s any big deal. . .They just want to get a better feel for what the service district is, what the area looks like.”
Chairman Carson Johnson. Dennis and Donald Gore all indicated that they plan to accompany the EPA official on his tour of the village.
There was little else in the way of business conducted at the January 17 WSA meeting. Dennis reported that a letter to the state health commissioner has been forwarded to the Rappahannock board of supervisors for signature.
