Virginia Extension Homemakers’ Scholarships - The Virginia Extension Homemakers sponsor the following four scholarship

1. Ella G. Agnew - to be used by persons seeking training for a nursing career or in a field related to the medical profession. The maximum amount for an individual is $750.00.

2. Maude E. Wallace - to be used by persons who plan on majoring in Home Economics at VPI&SU. Students may receive this scholarship only once, but they may reapply. Amount: $750.00.

3. Themes Guy Hoop - to be awarded to an adult to complete or improve his or her education or training in any field of study. The applicant should not be currently enrolled in high school. Maximum amount is $750.00

4. Hallie L. Hughes - to be awarded to any senior graduating from an accredited institution, who will be immediately pursuing a higher degree, an M.S. or PhD, with the intention of future employment with the Virginia Extension Service. Maximum amount is $750.00.

All of the above scholarships are terminated yearly, but you may reapply yearly. Applications are available at your high school guidance counselor’s office or the Extension Office. The scholarships must be filled out and returned to me by April 1 or to the address on the application by May 1. awards:
