Bayne told the planning commissioners that work has begun on bringing the kitchen up to standards and that all existing septic fields have now been located. Sanitarian Jack Lockhart has no records on most of the fields (which have been working without problems for 10 years) but expects the systems to continue functioning properly, Bayne noted. Plans call for at least one drain field to be enlarged as part of remodeling the existing buildings for the retreat center. “Whatever it takes (to meet' health department regulations) is what we’ll do,” Bayne assured the planning commissioners.

Ordinance Review

Prior to adjournment, the commissioners reviewed preliminary county zoning maps with Dick McNear and set a work session to go over the maps in detail for Wednesday, Janiiary 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the courthouse.
