High Arched Feet

“My feet are bothering me, but I don’t have flatfeet, why should they be hurting me?" This is a common question asked by many people. The foot is a complex part of the body that functions in a complex manner. A study performed at a California university for the Department of the Army has proven that the foot functions in the following basic way. It flattens out to adapt to uneven terrain for a short period of time and also allows the hips to rotate over the legs. It then moves into a relatively high arched position and locks to propel the body forward. If is remains flat (and loose) it causes problems, but remaining stiff and high arched can also cause problems.
