2. I graduated from the University of Virginia and spent a dozen years as a .journalist watching local governments in Virginia wrestle with the kinds of problems this county is facing today and will face tomorrow. I believe that background and insight will be useful on the board. Also, I have been active in church and community affairs and have learned through that work some of the needs and desires of this community.
