The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) is sponsoring a Halloween dance at the Washington Fire Hall. Providing music will be the Free State Ramblers. The dance is set for October 29 from nine to one. Refreshments are available and costumes invited. Admission if $5.00, $4.00 for RAAC members and $3.00 for those under 16 or over 65.
Aerobics For Men
An eight-week aerobic exercise class aimed especially at men will begin October 25 and run until December 15. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30-8 p.m., at the elementary school.
This is not a dance class but a half hour of choreographed exercise designed to tone muscles, increase endurance and improve condition of heart and lungs. Cost is $20 for the exercise class ($12 if taken in conjuction with aerobic dance). Call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887 for more information. Women are also welcome.
Christmas Shop
The 23th annual Christmas Shop sponsored by the Women of Johns Parish will take place in Middleburg, Va. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 20, 21 and 22 in the Parish House next door to Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Hours will be from 10 to 5 daily.
Using an international theme this year the committee has arranged for an array of 30 unique shops to exhibit their wares in and around the gaily decorated house and grounds.
