I have supported the Sperryville sewer project because it was the only possible way that the town’s pollution problem could be solved. After the system is completed, I hope the people of Sperryville — with the assistance of the water and sewer authority — will take over and manage their own affairs.
9. Yes, I support land use. I do not know of a fairer way to tax anything than on the value of its use. All of our neighboring counties have use value taxation, some for as long as ten years.
10. I want to make sure that Rappahannock County is getting its fair share of state and federal funds. I would like to see any increase in taxes shared by everyone except our low income residents and the elderly who meet specific eligibility requirements.
11. We have a big agenda before us and it has been my experience over the past 12 years that will never be without problems to solve.
