Whereas the late Herbert S Barksdaie was one ot the founders of the Rappahannock County Farm Bu reau ho'dmg member number 7 and havmg served tor twenty six years almost continuously as an officer or director, and

Whereas Herbert Barksdale's working life of fifty-five years in Rappahannock County epitomized the principles ot limited government and free enterprise economics es poused by the Farm Bureau, and

Whereas his professional and personal contributions as County Agent successful cattle farmer, enthusiastic supporter of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department, indefat igabie worker for and personal contributor to the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center, and high personal character earned the admiration and respect of his fellow members of the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau and other residents of Rappahannock County,

Now therefore the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau at its annual meeting on October 13,1983, resolves publicly to recognize Herbert S Barksdale s contributions to the community and to the Farm Bureau, and directs the Secretary to enter this Resolution in the permanent Record of the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau, and to forward a copy to The Rappahannock News for publication
