NOTICE OF HEARING CONCERNING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A PLAN FOR
INTRASTATE ACCESS CHARGES
The Virginia State Corporation Commission has scheduled a public hearing in Case No. PUC830020, commencing at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 1983 at House Room 4 of the State Capitol Building, Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of this hearing is to consider evidence relevent to the implementation of long distance service within Virginia on and after January 1, 1984.
On or before November 1, 1983, any person who expects to submit evidence and to cross-examine witnesses must file with the Commission an original and fifteen copies of a Notice of Protest conforming to Rule 5:16(a) of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.
On or before November 7, 1983, all persons who have filed a Notice of Protest and expect to participate in the hearing as a Protestant, must file with the Commission a Protest, together with an original and fifteen copies of all prepared testimony and exhibits of each witness expected to present direct testimony at the hearing. Protestants must serve a copy of the Protest and testimony upon all other parties.
Any interested person, not otherwise participating as a Protestant, who desires to make a statement at the public hearing in his own behalf, concerning the appropriateness of a plan for implementation of intra-LATA toll access charges within Virginia, need only be present in House Room 4 of the State Capitol Building 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the hearing and inform the Commission's Bailiff that he wishes to speak. All persons desiring to speak will be heard as expeditiously as possible, beginning at 10:00 a.m., or shortly thereafter. In lieu of attending the public hearing, public witnesses may choose to send their comments to the Commission in written form. Such comments must be received no later than November 8, 1983.
