10. I will look into all of these alternative methods of raising revenue. My decision as to each of these questions will be influenced by the county’s fiscal outlook at the time each of these methods are proposed.
11. We will continue to have problems in the areas of education, public finance, zoning and land use. All of these issues involve scarce resources and a need for better services. This calls for a balanced and even handed approach and I feel that)* my record as a fiscal conservative who can relate to and work to benefit people of diverse backgrounds qualifies me to address these problems. Rappahannock County has a reputation for good, solid management of its fiscal affairs. My goal is to continue that policy while, at the same time, • improving the quality of education and other county services. My goal may not be realized overnight; however, I believe that, working together, this county can achieve better quality in education and other areas while minimizing the burden to the taxpayer.
