5. We have money in this year’s budget to provide improved facilities for a dog pound. As for disposing of dead animals, the landfill site would be the answer.

In the past, I have never received a complaint that a board or commission member representing Jackson District was not performing his or her duties to the satisfaction of the residents of the district. I would welcome suggestions on filling vacancies on boards and commissions as well as on other matters handled by the board of supervisors.
7. I would suggest a one year delay. We are facing sizable expenditures for school improvements artd court room renovations. The equalization board just finished its work in 1982 and another reassessment is estimated to cost between $60,000 and $80,000.
