“We’ve got team unity and the result is team victory,” announced cross country coach Ann Spieker as her RCHS harriers extended their undefeated record in district meets by trouncing Stonewall and Clarke last Wednesday.
Scott Keithlev was in his usual position at the front of the pack, finishing the 3.1 mile Clarke course in 18:02. Ronnie Atkins was second in 18:07 and Chris Caperton fourth in 18:19.
“Our boys ran strongly. There were only 62 seconds separating the number one and number five runners. This is the kind of finish we need to win the district meet,” the coach noted.
