NAACP Branch Meeting
The Rappahannock NAACP Branch will meet on Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Washington. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
Spaghetti Dinner
A spaghetti dinner will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Monday, April 23 beginning at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the youth group of the church. Area youngsters are invited to participate.
Reunion Plans Continue
Plans for the reunion of the Rappahannock County High School class of 1974 will continue at a 4 p.m. meeting next Sunday, April 29, at the home of Nanette Butler in Sperryville. For directions or additional information, contact her at 987-8339.
Gospel Concert Planned
Four local gospel choirs are joining together for an evening of inspiring, hand-clapping music on April 28 at 7:30 at the Gay St. Theater.
The Singing Word, the Spiritualaires, The Macedonia Price Singers and the Clarence Dearing Memorial Choir will be singing to benefit the Macedonia Baptist Church and the Promised Land Baptist Church. The concert is being planned in cooperation with RAAC.
Tickets at $3 in advance are available at the Beauty Box, Middle Street Gallery and RAAC office in Washington or from Charlotte Freeman (675-3347) or Mary Jane Jordan (675-3571). Admission at the door will be $3.50.
