the fight to control this disease and accordingly, the Cancer Society gives five percent of its Crusade funds to this effort, sponsoring educational programs and providing materials that bring the latest developments in cancer treatment and research to the medical community.

The allocations add up to 86 percent. The remaining 16 percent of money collected in the Crusade goes to ftind raising (11 percent) and management and general administration (four percent). According to the American Cancer Society, it has the lowest costs in this last category of any m^jor national health agency.
