Signs
There’s a new visual treat on the F. T. Valley Road not far from W & J’s store: another well-crafted and imaginative sign by DAVETTE LEONARD. The artist has incorporated three-dimension material into a sign for Bill Harrison’s “Wood Thoughts” repair and refinishing business. A large wooden candlestick, imbedded into the surface and topped by a painted flame, adorns the sign. It’s worth a special trip down the road. Davette Leonard may be reached at 675-3479.
Membership Meeting
It may be a bit in advance but Rappahannock supporters of the arts should mark Sunday, June 3, on their calendars as the date for the annual membership meeting and picnic of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community.
Again this year, the meeting will be held at the pondside, the home of Bill and Mitzie Young in Castleton. Activities will begin at 2 p.m. Rain date for the annual meeting is June 10.
