RAAC Show

Puffie-the-Pigeon; a black cat named Spooky; Camelia and Meggie, beautiful Nubian goats and Winnie, the rock pushing Jack Russell terrier, all are being readied for the biggest and best pet show on Saturday, April 21, for the benefit of RAAC.

Ann Sakalauchs of Woodville is ready to guarantee that her six-year-old collie, King Wenceslaus, will sing. Parnell O’Connor, an Irish water spaniel belonging to Waldron & Sam O’Connor, is hoping to walk away with the “best dressed” prize. Parnell will have to compete with a Washington, O.C. entrant (wearing a suit) belonging to Mimi Cantwell. Pepper Carwright-Brown may show up wearing his Sidwell Friends sweatshirt. Friar Tuck, the English bull dog belonging to Larry LeHew, master of ceremonies, just may win the “most ugly” prize unless Bogart, the Pit Bull belonging to Steve Williams, can outshine him. J. A. Bernard Dahlgren, Master of the Rappahannock Hunt, will serve as tie-breaking judge for such difficult decisions.
