Ms. Lillian Jeanne Martin, 23, of Amissville, died Thursday, April 12, 1964, at the Culpeper Memorial Hospital as the result of an automobile accident on Route 229.
Ms. Martin was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and its Youth Chib, the Women’s Progressive Club and a leader of the Brownie Scout Troop,506 of Culpeper.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Latanya Martin of Amissville; her parents, Ernest L. Martin Sr. and Mildred W. Martin, both of Amissville; her foster parents, Raymond and Alberta Brown of Amissville and her paternal grandfather, Russell Gray of West Virginia.
Alson surviving are four brothers, John Meredith Martin, Ernest Lee Martin Jr. and Richard Eugene Martin, all of Amissville and Russell Purcell Martin of Manassas; three sisters, Helen Fran cine Martin of Arlington, Sheila Jones of Warrenton and Rene Yvonne Martin of Amissville; a foster brother, Raymond Brown Jr. of Amissville and two foster sisters, Regina Lynn Brown and Rhonda Lavonne Brown, both of Amissville.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Bethel Baptist Church at Amissville by the Rev. Carter Allsberry. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of arrangements.
