The Womens Society of Christian Service of United Methodist Church met at the home of Mrs. Janet Eastham on Monday evening. Mrs. Claude Cook of Culpeper spoke to the group concerning the history of the Methodist Church. Members attending were Evelyn Walker, Mable Lillard, Mary Brady, Margaret Eastham, Russie Miller, Louise McCulloch, Linda Miller, Mary Curtis, Mary Frances Bywaters, Frances Bradford, Alice Pullen, Fisher Burford, Gaynell Russell and Flow Duvall.

Mark Werner of Fort Bliss, Texas arrived on Monday to spend a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest and Crystal. The marriage of Miss Vest and Mr. Werner will take place this weekend.
