Dr. Phillip C. Liverman, director of the Renal Dialysis Center of Glens Falls, New York since 1979, died on July 9 in Georgetown, D.C.
Born in 1947 in Wilmington, Del., he spent much of his childhood and youth in Amissville. After graduating from the George Washington University in 1969 he received his M.D. degree from the University of Virginia in 1973. From that time until his establishment in Glens Falls he practiced medicine in Cleveland, Richmond and at the University of Virginia Medical Center where he held a fellowship in Nephrology from 1976 to 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Joan Hulley Liverman, M.D.; his children, Eric and Astrid; his mother, Mrs. Micheline C. Coward of Georgetown, D.C.; his father, Dr. T.P.G. Liverman of Amissville; his brother, Thierry J. Liverman and his wife and two children of Georgetown, D.C.
Dr. Liverman was buried on July 11 in Bybee Churchyard, Fluvanna County, Virginia, surrounded by his immediate family.
It is the family’s desire that those who wish to tangibly mark their remembrance of him do so by contributing to the Cancer Society or their favorite charity.
