RCHS Cheerleaders

Varsity and Junior Varsity (J.V.) cheerleading squads from Rappahannock High began their ’84-85 season July 8. The cheerleaders participated in a local conference sponsored by the International Cheerleading Foundation.
The four-day camp was held at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. It was the second camp at which Rappahannock cheerleaders participated.
The camp staff evaluated the visiting squads on three home cheers and on new cheers learned at the wnp> The girls were taught chants and worked to incorporate gymnastics, jumps, partner stunts, and pyramids into their routines.
The main goal of Rappahannock’s cheerleaders, however, was to improve their own skills, and this goal was obviously met by each squad.
